Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage our financial records, ensure compliance with local regulations, and oversee financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of Bahraini financial laws, with mandatory, hands-on experience in National Bureau for Revenue (NBR) VAT compliance and filing.

What you’ll do

• Execute mandatory Bahrain NBR VAT filings, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
• Manage daily accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Process monthly payroll, SIO contributions, and end-of-service gratuity calculations.

What you’ll bring

• Requires a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience strictly within Bahrain.
• Proven, hands-on experience in handling local VAT compliance and submission.
• Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Proficient in standard accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho) and advanced MS Excel.
• Strong working knowledge of Bahrain Labour Law, SIO, and LMRA regulations.
