About the role
We are seeking an organized, proactive, and accountable Logistics Supervisor for a premium company to oversee daily regional transportation operations. This pivotal role serves as the central hub connecting drivers, clients, and maintenance teams to ensure safe, cost-efficient, and on-time deliveries across Bahrain and the wider GCC region.
What you’ll do
- Transportation & Fleet Planning: Coordinate daily local, export, and GCC trips, assigning appropriate drivers and vehicles to client jobs while scheduling all loading and delivery appointments.
- Driver & Journey Management: Maintain constant communication with drivers to monitor tracking systems, provide operational instructions, troubleshoot delays, and verify driver attendance.
- GCC Cross-Border Documentation: Prepare and verify necessary driver/vehicle exit documents, arrange cross-border customs paperwork, secure GCC travel visas, and monitor transportation insurance renewals.
- Financial Oversight & Expense Tracking: Record daily transportation expenditures, manage petty cash disbursements, oversee currency exchanges, and ensure all operational costs are backed by receipts.
- Fleet Maintenance Coordination: Liaison closely with the garage workshop team regarding vehicle availability, preventative maintenance schedules, and active breakdowns to minimize operational downtime.
- Reporting & Data Maintenance: Update daily trip sheets, track delivery statuses, perform timely data entry into company software, and generate comprehensive daily reports for senior management.
- Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce company safety protocols and local transportation regulations, coordinate client-specific safety training, and maintain complete compliance records.
- Operational Problem Solving: Act as the first line of defense to resolve urgent field issues—including accidents, breakdowns, appointment updates, or border delays—even outside normal working hours when critical.
What you’ll bring
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or fleet coordination; previous supervisory experience is considered a distinct advantage.
- Languages: Good command of both Urdu and English to ensure smooth communication with the workforce and management.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, with the capability to easily learn company software and ODOO systems.
- Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of GCC transportation procedures, cross-border documentation, and customs regulations.
- Operational Skills: Practical experience managing vehicle tracking systems, daily trip sheets, operational reporting, and expense tracking.
- Core Capabilities: Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills with the resilience to work effectively under pressure.
